VÉOLO, based in Valencia, Spain, specializes in knowledge-intensive services, technology and programming, and training programs related to air pollution and air quality. They develop innovative products and services for climate change adaptation, sustainable mobility, energy efficiency, and health. VEOLO designs solutions for monitoring environmental parameters, manages data, and offers training programs for teachers and students. Their focus is on promoting green and digital skills through projects that address local environmental issues. VEOLO’s training activities are primarily aimed at Vocational Education Training teachers and students in primary and secondary schools. They have a track record of successful training courses with a high social impact and have received recognition and awards for their innovative approaches in the field of air pollution measurement and signalling.

The Merendino Institute, located in Italy, Sicily, is a vocational secondary school with a rich history since 1962. It operates across three municipalities in the Nebrodi Area. The institute offers a five-year course of study with specializations in Accounting, Construction Environment and Territory, Agriculture and Rural development, Dentistry, Business Services, and Hotel and Catering Management. The school caters to approximately 650 students aged 14 to 19, with an equal gender distribution. Many students come from socio-economic and cultural disadvantaged backgrounds, including foreign students facing language barriers. The institute actively addresses dropout prevention, and its activities are focused on promoting sustainability and inclusion. It features a school farm for producing organic products, emphasizes eco-sustainable construction practices, teaches “green” and “zero waste” cooking, collaborates with local NGO “Legambiente,” and is part of the “Green School” network. For this project, students from the Construction Environment and Territory and Agriculture Rural Development courses, aged 16 to 17, including those with special needs and social disadvantages, will be involved. The project will enhance the professional skills of both teachers and students, fostering active and environmentally aware citizenship. While the institute has worked in the field of sustainability for several years, this Erasmus application focused on air quality and emissions is a new venture for them.

Meraki is a non-profit organization based in Valencia, Spain. Established in 2017, it consists of professionals specializing in education, social welfare, integration, environment, and technology. Meraki offers activities such as internationalization counselling, network establishment, and training programs on topics including innovative teaching methodologies, digital competences, and project management. They have experience in training design, curriculum development, and delivering courses for European projects. The organization focuses on Secondary Education and VET teachers and has expertise in areas such as computer science, project management, and sustainable fields.
